تباتيك Tabateek, a Hijazi word that means: small little things. Tabateek essentially translates to details and embellishments. The word itself is an expression of the identity of Hijazi culture & Heritage.

This Typographic sculpture series is a celebration of the tiny details of everyday life. Each Tabateek sculpture is an exploration of limits of paper as a medium. The sculptures are built with delicately cut paper that shifts and morphs with every layer to create a solid elevated form.

An abstract animation that formally explores a story of gender roles in the middle east. Based on one popular arabic saying which likens women to jewels, this animation explores the dichotomy between praise & protection vs. oppression & entrapment.

An annual Showcase of students work created during a month long workshop at CALARTS. Students from Hongik University have the opportunity to explore motion graphics (sometimes for the first time) to create simple narratives from start to finish. Ending a grand finally of a screening open to the entire school and the public. That's where we (the TA's) come in, and brand the show & create all motion & print elements.

The digital Arts Expo is an annual event that showcases installations, interactive work, and all forms of digital arts. Open to all Calarts students and faculty as well as invited guests.

A title sequence for a fictional bond movie. The premise of it revolves around the idea of a female oil tycoon/villain who is based in brazil.

A collection of animations created in short-term workshops during my time in CALARTS. Each project took 2-5 days to complete from start to finish. So making decisions on the spot while designamating was a common thread between all of them.

A 2-week animated experiment that aims to highlight news stories from around the world that are not receiving much attention by 24 hr media outlets. Each animation is created on the day of the story & posted on an Instagram account. Meant to be an interesting visual experience that motivates you to click on the news outlet link to learn more about it.
